Nigerian-American Singer, Jidenna Reveals Ties between Heineken and Nigerians in New Ad

Heineken Nigeria has just launched an ad featuring the Nigerian-American singer, Jidenna Theodore Mobisson, popularly known as Jidenna, which highlights the parallels between the world’s most internatio­nal brand – Heineken and Nigerians. The light-skinned artiste with a certain texture of hair was born in Wisconsin, United States to an American mother and an Igbo father, and, in the new ad, tries to highlight certain traits that Heineken and Nigerians have in common.

Heineken is the world’s leading beer brand and the premium drink has been enjoyed by beer lovers in Nigeria since it was first launched. Its great taste and superb quality has earned it the title: Chairman. The brand has truly become a part of Nigeria and its people. According to Jidenna, there are three qualities Heineken and Nigerians have in common as highlighte­d in the ad. Just as Nigerians are famous in the world, so also is Heineken in that Heineken can be found in 192 countries and interestin­gly, where you see Heineken globally, there’s an 80 per cent chance you will find a Nigerian.
