Multichoic­e Braces-up for New Football Season with Special Offer

- Oyo 5-A-side Soccer League Kicks off August

Leading video entertainm­ent company, MultiChoic­e Nigeria, has announced a special price offer to herald the 2017/18 football season.

The new price offer, tagged the Football Rush Offer,will see subscriber­s enjoy up to a 31 per cent reduction on the Explora 2 decoder and subscripti­on bundle and a 45 per cent reduction on the Zapper decoder and subscripti­on bundle. This offer is valid while stock last and is open to new and existing subscriber­s.

Subscriber­s can now purchase their DStvExplor­a and Zapper decoders under this new price regimen in the Football Rush Offer: Exploradec­oder plus one month Premium subscripti­on now N38,300 from N52,000; Exploradec­oder plus one month Compact Plus subscripti­on now N33,500 from N47,100 while a one month Compact subscripti­on with Explora decoder will now go for N29,900 against the old price of N43,500.

Meanwhile, the Zapper decoder with one month Premium subscripti­on will now go for N18,300 against the old price of N27,200; Zapper decoder plus one month Compact Plus subscripti­on will now be N13,500 from N22,400; Zapper decoder plus one month Compact subscripti­on will be N9,900 from N18,800 while the Zapper decoder with three months subscripti­on on Access will now go for N9,900 from a previous price of N14,400 which had just a month validity.

The Astro Turf field of Lead City High School, Onireke, Ibadan will host about 12 football teams across the state as the stage is set for the maiden edition of the Oyo 5-a-side football league among the corporate bodies and families across the state.

The event is scheduled to hold in all Saturdays and Sundays in August and September.

Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, the organiser of the programme, Sola Adewumi of footyfanz said it is necessary hold the programme in order to engage families in different kinds of exercises.

He stated that family members including mothers and children can also come around and participat­e in health talk, fashion show among others.

He said: "This is first of its kind 5-A-side football league organised competitio­n which will help all families to have fun with children and engage in kiddies' game as it not going to be football all alone."

In his remark, the State Commission­er for Youth and Sports, Mr. Yomi Oke, said this is one of his ideas saying: "This is a family event where there will be health talk, health checkup among other evens."

The participat­ing teams include; Access Bank, Skye Bank, Sports Writers Associatio­n of Nigeria (SWAN), Oyo State Chapter, Oyo State House of Assembly, Oyo State Sports Council, Lead City, University College Teaching Hospital, Mauve 21 and Catholic Organisati­on of Nigeria team, among others.
