OMD Shines at Cannes Lions 2017


The Cannes Lions Fes­ti­val of Cre­ativ­ity has named OMD World­wide the “Me­dia Net­work of the Year,” after win­ning one Gold, five Sil­ver and five Bronze lions and earn­ing 14 short­lists in the Me­dia Lions cat­e­gory.

Com­ment­ing on the feat, the Ex­ec­u­tive Direc­tor and Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­fi­cer of me­di­aReach OMD Nige­ria, Mr. Alaba Fadero, said in­no­va­tion and cre­ativ­ity are at the cen­tre of what the or­gan­i­sa­tion stands for. “We are ex­tremely proud of the cre­ative and in­no­va­tive work we are pro­duc­ing around the world in part­ner­ship with our Clients,” he stated.

Fadero af­firmed that “our global win­ning cul­ture cas­cades into our lo­cal mar­kets; and we train our tal­ent on an on-go­ing ba­sis, including ex­po­sure to re­gional we­bi­nars as a source of in­spi­ra­tion to be abreast of lat­est de­vel­op­ments and raise our game.”

He fur­ther stated that the OMD has many lo­cal ini­tia­tives through which it en­cour­ages its peo­ple to pro­duce works that de­liver on ob­jec­tives and help over­come cur­rent busi­ness chal­lenges of its clients.

This year, me­di­aReach OMD Nige­ria won the Young Lions Me­dia - Nige­ria Com­pe­ti­tion and Young Pro Me­dia - West Africa Cham­pi­onship for eight times since 2008.
