The Director, Multivariate Nursery and Primary School, Ogun State, Mrs. Roseline Nduka, has expressed the school’s desire to focus on the total development of its pupils from academic to co-curricular training.
Nduka, who made this known recently at the inauguration of the school, said it plans to bridge the gap that has been noticed in the education system, adding that it will be committed to instilling values in the pupils, apart from academics.
She said it would also focus on the Montessori method of teaching, particularly for children in the nursery school, adding that through that process they would be taught how to be disciplined and independent.
According to her, the school would combine the British and Nigeria curriculum, adding, “it is not going to be limited to Nigeria, the pupils would also be taught languages such as French for foreign and Yoruba Language as indigenous.
“At every point, our children should be able to cope at any international examination because they will cover the British curriculum. The school is very affordable considering the values we want to impart in the children.”The Chairman, Dr. Buno Nduka, said the management decided to establish the school to serve public good for those living within the estate and the community where it is located, adding that a child requires total education beyond just academics.
“There is need for cocurricular activities that will guide the children’s mental and skill development.”
