Dream Cosmetics Gives Succour to SOS Orphanage Village

-

Unarguably, thousands of children in Nigeria and beyond are deprived of a solid educational foundation, healthcare, and other amenities.

But as part of efforts to give back to the society, Dream Cosmetics recently donated various items to SOS Children's Villages, Isolo, to complement the efforts of the foundation.

SOS families provide a loving home for children who are no longer able to live with their parents. The children attend the SOS Kindergarten together with local children from the community after which they go on to complete their primary education at the SOS Hermann Gmeiner School.

In order to ensure that children have access to essential educational, nutritional and health services, SOS Children's Villages began its work in Isolo in 1973.

Speaking with THISDAY during the visit, the Executive Director, Corporate Affairs and Sales Director, Uchenna Okonkwo said: “I commend what the motherless and orphanage homes are doing and Dream Cosmetics and Topwide Industries will continue to show thorough support to those in need, children and adults alike.

According to him, “We carry a vast range of brands and one of our prime brands is Boudchou for babies and children. For this, we wanted to give back to those that are unable to get an adequate reception of the Boudchou brand.

On why the company chose SOS Orphanage, Okonkwo noted that SOS Orphanage is an internationally recognised orphanage with a well structured operation scheme.

He stated that they have four stations around Nigeria and respective stations overseas. “Our donation and presentation will certainly reach other children around the nation and the globe. They also do well to pair children with father figures and mother figures so the children are giving a sense of adoption and belonging to a family.”

Okonkwo advised other companies to continue to do their best to give back to the society and community in different states and local governments, adding that at the end, it's a rewarding expenditure.

He disclosed that the aim of the Dream Cosmetics is to offer consumers at all stages options in globally recognised brands of cosmetics and daily skin and body care through our high end distribution medium.

“We also aim to continue innovating manufacturing practices in Nigeria and with the help of our current federal administration, we can achieve this.”

The industrial industry in Nigeria, Okonkwo said requires a makeover. Good and adequate manufacturing practices need to be adhered to and quality products from Nigeria and Africa wholly demonstrated in the larger global scale.
