TheReturnof Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

Charles Oyakhilome entered the Ultima Studio and took his position in the hot seat area. He wasn’t there as a contestant but as the Chairman, Airopay Nigeria, the new corporate sponsor of one of Nigeria’s finest game shows, Who Wants to be A Millionaire. The show ended its last season recently and Frank Edoho, the presenter for the show since inception gave a hint that he would be retiring from the show.

Having rested it for seven seasons, the producers of the show are basking on their record of enriching lives through the prize money. Among the beneficiaries of the show are many notable Nigerians, who even after having done noble deeds for their home land, soon became forgotten heroes and languished in penury.

Consistent with the game show's objective of enriching lives, the international payment operator, Airopay has partnered with Ultima Studio to continue the live television tradition while rethinking some aspects of the show. The show will likely get a younger presenter while some special editions such as “Who Deserves to be a Millionaire?” and “Celebrity Edition” will be retained.

According to Oyakhilome, Airopay’s offer to sponsor the game show is inspired by its mantra to make lives easy.

“Airopay is thrilled to partner with Ultima Limited,” he said. “Airopay is honoured by this partnership. Airopay and Ultima are convinced that the synergy between Airopay and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Game show will be mutually beneficial.”

Meanwhile, the sweetest part of this deal is the increase in the winnings of whoever makes it to the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Homeplay.
