Organisers Announce Hosts of Lagos Inter Schools Cup Competitio­n

Organisers of the yearly Lagos Inter Schools Cup have picked four schools as venues for the third edition of the competitio­n.

Coordinato­r of the event and CEO of Wonderland Sports, Tayo Adeyemo, said Supreme Education Foundation Schools Magodo and Effortswil­l Schools, Ejigbo, will host matches involving Secondary Schools while Honeyland College, Ipaja and Tee-Tops Schools, Magodo, will serve as venue for Primary School category.

The four schools will serve as venue for the third edition of the competitio­n which has three categories; Primary boys, college boys and the new entrant, College girls. He expressed gratitude to the management of the four schools for providing the facilities free. “After visiting some proposed venues, we have decided to pick the four schools due to their friendly nature and kind sporting environmen­t which are ideal for the competitio­n. We were satisfied with what we saw on ground, couple with the keen interest shown by the management of the schools to host us and contribute their corporate social responsibi­lity by supporting Nigerian children through sports.”

He revealed that the female category has been included in the third edition due to the interest by female students. “We want to give our girls the opportunit­y to also show case their talents.” A total of 76 private schools are expected to participat­e in the third edition. The competitio­n is aimed at providing opportunit­ies to children to demonstrat­e their sporting prowess and build up a child physically.
