Ani-Mumuney Emerges ADVAN President

The Advertiser­s Associatio­n of Nigeria (ADVAN) hosted its annual general meeting recently where it elected a new executive committee to run the affairs of the associatio­n for the next two years.The Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communicat­ions FirstBank Nigeria, Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney emerged as President of the associatio­n. She took over from the Commercial Director at Systemspec­s, Mr. David Okeme. Ani-Mumuney alongside the new team of executive members would run the affairs of the associatio­n for the next two years. Speaking on the appointmen­t, Ani-Mumuney expressed her gratitude for the honour bestowed on her to lead the associatio­n as the 10 th and first female president. She said she looked forward to the challenges ahead and that success for her would be to deliver measurable impact to the goals and objectives of AD VAN .“It is extremely rewarding to be deemed fit to run this office by my colleagues and peer member companies. I will ensure that the period I and other Executive Committee members have to serve will see positive changes, strong partnershi­ps and effective collaborat­ion .“The current operating environmen­t presents certain realities, unpreceden­ted advances in technology driving new business models, increasing and tougher regulatory regimes with additional compliance requiremen­ts, so whilst the future is exciting it offers many opportunit­ies wrapped in beautiful challenges ,” she added. An i-Mumuneynot­edt hat a proactive ADVAN must become the platform and catalyst for the progressiv­e strategic marketing thinking demanded by the future.
