New record label, Sound Factory Entertainment has made its way to the Nigerian entertainment industry with the unveiling of two artistes signed under the label. The Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Kayode Olumoko, while speaking at the unveiling ceremony of the company in Abuja, said that the company wants to take over the music industry, while also taking talented artistes off the street by giving them a platform to showcase their talents.

According to him, "today is the unveiling of the Sound Factory Entertainment itself and also the unveiling of our music blog which is soundfactory.org.ng, and also we are having a very young artiste today debuting his first song under Sound Factory who goes by the name JayTee, his track is called 'Chanta'.

The CEO revealed that Sound factory as a group has been in existence for over 15 years.

“When I was in school I used to do music, entertainment, put shows together,” he said. “After I left school, where I read Laboratory Technology, and I wasn't so satisfied with working in the laboratory, I went into the business of Sound Factory.

“What's unique about us is that we are like the street kind of people. We don't take people on our platform basically becausezyou are coming from a different platform or you are coming from a rich home; we pick artistes because of their talents and the is what is different about us. We are on the street to take clean artiste, standard voice without technical enhancement, that's what is unique about us.”

Olumoko stressed that JayTee, who debuted with his single, is a young and talented artiste from Delta State. “He came into our search light three weeks ago when I heard one of the songs he did,” he said. “He was in an office where we are signing a deal with someone else, he played his song, I heard his song and I was tricked by it.”

Olumoko added that Chanta is a very good song and a club banger, stressing that JayTee has been in the industry since 2014, while promising that the label would do its best to give him the platform to become as big as possible.

Also, Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike said he graced the occasion to encourage Sound Factory and the CEO whom he said has done well for young people. Meanwhile, JayTee said the kind of music he does is afro-pop, while also trying to fuse different style into his music,
