LEO STAN EKEH’S INTEREST

By virtue of his rare accomplishments, Leo Stan Ekeh, owner of Zinox Computers, is one of the few businessmen who have written their names in gold.

The string of industry awards that litter his ornate office is evident of his success story in the sector. So far, it can be said that providence has been fair to him, especially when you consider his intimidating resume, international connections and riches. He is one of the few Nigerian businessmen that rub shoulders with other businessmen around the world while his ICT company competes favourably with others around the globe.

In fact, he is a glittering star in the business firmament. But Stan Ekeh is not known to pursue unrealistic dreams. How? For some time, he has been under pressure by his people who want him to contest for governor in 2019. They see him as the messiah who can rewrite the story of the 41-year-old state. To underscore the seriousness of their intention, they have reportedly made representations to him to hearken to their cries on different occasions.

Spy Glass, however, gathered that the businessman has shunned all pleas for the simple reason that he was more passionate about his businesses scattered around the world.

“The businessman has rejected the offer to throw his hat into the ring. He is not cut for politics, especially as it is being practised in this part of the world. Of course, he is not totally apolitical and has friends who are well placed in the Nigerian politics. But he only prefers to face his businesses. Don’t get me wrong; he is definitely not a coward and it is impossible for him to lose in any election. In fact, he has never lost in his business history. What I’ m telling you is final! Stan Ekeh is not contesting in 2019 and that is it!’’
