Glo Laffta Fest Returns to Lagos

The 27-week Glo Laffta Fest, featuring some Africa’s funniest comics returns to Lagos this Sunday. The mega comedy show is this time taking place at the KFA Event Centre by Jakande Estate’s First Gate at Ajah.

It is the 27th edition of the hugely successful comedy fiesta that has gone round the length and breadth of Nigeria since it was flagged off on April 16, 2017 in Port Harcourt. Some of the cities the show has been to since then include Abuja, Enugu, Owerri, Warri, Yenegoa, Calabar, Uyo, Ibadan, Benin, Ijebu Ode, Kaduna, Abeokuta, Kubwa, Ikorodu, Suleja, Kano, Anyigba, Lokoja, Onitsha and Makurdi.

The show has created unpreceden­ted excitement and fun in all the locations it has been, drawing mammoth audiences from all walks of life.

The 27th edition of the show happening in Ajah will kick off at 4pm and will feature some of the wittiest comics on the continent, such as Bovi Ugboma, Godwin Komone, popularly known as Gordons, Seyi Law, Salvador from Uganda, De Don and MC Tagwaye.

The show will also be graced by Nollywood legends, Richard Mofe-Damijo and Kanayo O. Kanayo, as well as two of the best known actors in the Yoruba genres of Nollywood, Odunlade Adekola and Bolaji Amusan.

The show will be anchored by Juliet Ibrahim and Mercy Johnson.

“We treated the people of Ajah area of Lagos to an unforgetta­ble evening of music entertainm­ent when we took the Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour to the same venue. This time, it is comedy like they have never seen it before. Our prospectiv­e and existing subscriber­s should keep a date for a time to remember,” Globacom said in a statement in Lagos.
