Re: SANship: Becoming Integrity Deficient?
Dear Editor, I am an ardent fan of your column. Your column on "SANship: Becoming Integrity Deficient?" was frank and bold, you spoke the truth and it yielded fruit! Thank you, Olufola Wusu Commercial Lawyer, Oil & Gas/ Intellectual Property Consultant
Dear Editor, Re: Needed? Mental Abuse Law I happen to be one of the ardent readers of your law column; which is quite interesting and educative.
Keep on doing the good work! May Almighty God be your aid in all your endeavours.
I read your above column, in which you narrated a tale of your friend suffering from psychological trauma caused by her husband. It is quite unfortunate!
I endorse your courage for speaking out for the voiceless. God bless you!
I implore you to speak continuously on the psychological trauma meted out against the victims; females and their counterpart.
Here in Makurdi, I observed a mentally disturbed lady that wanders stark naked around the town daily. The first time I saw her, I was shocked and horror gripped my heart. I then embarked on a critical investigation, to find out the cause of her condition. I discovered that the lady dated a lad who financed her academically, promising to marry her after her studies. Before the lady completed her programme in the tertiary institution, the lad dumped her for another lady. This affected her psychologically, and deteriorated to the current terrible situation she finds herself.
As an advocate, who speaks against the ailments that cripple the society, I deem it fit to notify you, in order for you to call those in power and the major stakeholders, to look into the issue of mental illness healthcare, and to take care of the people suffering from it, like the lady I mentioned. Congrats! Happy 1st year anniversary as the Editor of THISDAY Lawyer.
Ayoola Imran, Makurdi.
