IoD to Honour Dangote, Ovia, Others

The President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; Chairman, Zenith Bank Plc, Mr. Jim Ovia; Chairman, John Holt, Mr. Christopher Ezeh are among the 41 eminent professionals and business leaders to be conferred with Fellowship Awards at the 2017 Fellows’ investiture of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria on 26 October, at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos from 5:30 p.m. According to a statement issued to THISDAY, signed by the Director General of the Institute, Mr. Dele Alimi, the award is for members who have a minimum of 10 years directorship experience in reputable organisations and have distinguished themselves over the years, both in the activities of the institute and the country at large. It stated that the guest speaker for the event is the acting Director-General, Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), Chidi Izuwah, and he would be speaking on: ‘Infrastructure Development as a Means to National Growth’ A major highlight at the event, according to the statement, is the conferment of Distinguished Fellow Award on two past Presidents of the Institute, Mrs. Eniola Fadayomi; Chairman, Africa Prudential Registrars, Chief Executive Officer, De LaRue Systems Centre, Mr. Samuel Yemi Akeju, the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, and Thorbourn Investment Limited, Mr. Justin Emmanuel, Chairman.
