ALBERTO GUERRA ENCOUNTERS THE DARK SIDE OF MUSIC IN PRICE OF FAME
Telemundo’s new telenovela ‘The Price of Fame’ sees the Cuban actor on a deadly mission to avenge the death of his brother, Mexican music star, Julio Caesar Solar, played by Daniel Elbittar. Alberto Guerra and Daniel Elbittar were co-stars in Azteca’s production ‘Love to Remember’.
In ‘The Price of Fame’, Guerra plays a hugely successful music producer Mateo who will stop at nothing until he discovers who is behind his brother’s death. A series of dramatic events such as the suicidal death of Victoria Aguilar, Julio’s obsessive ex-girlfriend who was accused of killing Julio, made Mateo suspects that a conspiracy is involved. His first suspect is Gabriel Trevino, a rich and powerful crime lord and owner of a radio station. However, as the narrative unfolds, Mateo will discover a web of music industry mobsters including his late brother’s supposed mentor Rafael Zabala (Alejandro de la Madrid) and Amado Matamoros (Juan Pablo Medina). His quest for justice will be complicated by the time he falls in love with Matamoros half-sister Manara Leon who also is the love interest of Rafael.
The three families will find themselves fighting for survival in this intriguing tale of vengeance, betrayal and secret romance.
The Price of Fame is Telemundo’s first musical telenovela that will play the genre of Mexican regional music like the Spanish ranchero and mariachi.
