Moghalu to Speak at Goddy Jidenma Foundation Lectures
A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Prof. Kingsley Moghalu will be speaking at this year’s Goddy Jidenma Foundation lectures, which hold in Lagos on Wednesday.
Moghalu, who teaches at Tuft University, USA, according to a statement, is expected to speak on: “The Challenge of Economic Growth in Nigeria.”
The fifth Bi-annual lecture will be chaired by the Vice Chairman/CEO, Alpine Investments Limited and Former Chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, Mallam Mahanned Hayatu-deen.
He will be assisted by Justice Rose Ukeje, retired Chief Judge of Federal High Court, as well as other top Nigerians, including Professor Pat Utomi, Chairman of Goddy Jidenma Foundation.
Goddy Jidenma Foundation (GJF) is a non-profit, nongovernmental organisation founded in 2007, in memory of Arc Goddy Nwaolisa Jidenma who died on 24th May 2006 in Lagos, Nigeria. Arc Goddy Jidenma, lived most of his life in the service of humanity. He was a typical servant leader, while he lived. He was a student leader and later served as a Commissioner for Works & Housing and later Commissioner for Commerce & Industry. He served as the Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Papal Visit of His Holiness, Pope John Paul II for the beatification of Blessed Rev Father, Cyprain Iwene Tansi at Anambra State in 1998.
The objectives of the Foundation are to promote the spirit of selfless service and support ethical leadership initiatives, to celebrate the human essence, promote selfdiscovery among the youth, support philanthropic activities and significantly contribute to thought leadership in Nigeria and Africa. The Chairman of the Foundation is Prof Pat Utomi, a renowned public intellectual and Founder/ CEO of the Centre for Values in Leadership (CVL).
