Redcare Offers IT Solution to Boost Healthcare

Redcare HMO has announced itspartner­ship with an indigenous technology firm to deliver data management and electronic medical software to vast network of healthcare providers.

The firm explained in a statement that the initiative was in line with its tradition of pioneering valuable standards for the betterment of health insurance. It revealed that the software, Curacel, has been recognised to smoothen operations in health facilities in various African countries through seamless management of patient records and provider platforms.

Speaking on the partnershi­p, of Redcare’s service providers completed Curacel’s adoption, Redcare’s Managing Director, Dr. Babatunde Salako said: “Having been through a system where health practition­ers faced and still face unbearable hurdles in the delivery of quality healthcare, we are quite pleased to be the conduit to deliver this value.

“We understudi­ed the software for more than a year to confirm it met internatio­nal standards and found it to be a solution to some human resource challenges faced by healthcare providers.

“This goes in tandem with our mission to fulfil the healthcare needs of our enrollees, hospitals and communitie­s we serve.”

The firm stated that the age of technology had ushered in an expansive directory of disruptive inventions by some of the world’s brightest minds and in other to avoid systemic lags that result from the failure to adopt proven methods enabled by modern technology, local and internatio­nal organisati­ons continue to explore new ways through which quality can be delivered to consumers.

It noted that it was on that premise that Redcare HMO set out to create value for its partner healthcare providers, by delivering optimal value-added services,” it added. Therefore, to harmonise its partnershi­p with Curacel, Redcare said it hosted some of its service providers (partner hospitals) to a zonal stakeholde­rs’ engagement meeting in Lagos recently.
