FMBN to Support Borno in Housing Reconstruction
The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) has expressed its resolve to support the government and people of Borno State in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the state, which has been ravaged by insurgency.
The Managing Director/ Chief Executive, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa made the statement during a cheque presentation to beneficiaries of the FMBN Home Renovation Loan in Maiduguri, Borno State.
He called on the people of the state to take advantage of this privilege most especially the Home Renovation Loan for the reconstruction of their houses destroyed by the menace of Boko Haram.
Dangiwa further said Borno is one of the states that urgently need the Home Renovation Loan to enable the people affected by the insurgency return to their homes.
He assured the government of Borno State of the bank’s continued support in tackling its housing problems and also expressed satisfaction with the achievements recorded by the state despite the daunting challenge of insecurity.
Responding, the Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Kashim Shettima expressed appreciation for the bank’s readiness to support the state towards the rehabilitation of houses destroyed by insurgents.
He said the State has already embarked on rehabilitation and rebuilding of houses destroyed by Boko Haram in an effort to bringing back displaced persons to their houses.
