MAMORA’S CASTLE IN THE AIR?

-

Since he left the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Olorunnibe Mamora seems to have been left in the cold, politically.

However, Spy Glass gathered that the former speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly is set to revive his dwindling political career.

He is said to be eyeing the number one job in Ogun State, come 2019.

Indeed, a source disclosed that Mamora, who comes from Ogun East, made the declaration, last Monday, at a meeting with his kinsmen in Ijebu-Ife, Ogun State, after several months of consultations with notable politicians and elders of the community.

Our source disclosed that this decision might amount to building a castle in the air, as his political party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has zoned its governorship ticket to Ogun West.

Also, what may appear to be another boulder in his way to the Ogun Government House is the fact that his godfather, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is reportedly backing Senator Solomon Adeola, otherwise known as Yayi, who is from Yewa.

Since he left the Senate, representing Lagos East senatorial district in 2011, he has suffered a series of losses on the political terrain. He had, at different times, been tipped for some political appointments. But curiously, his name had been dropped on each occasion.
