Singabele Thumbs up Monimichelle over Bayelsa Sports Summit

-

Veteran Nigerian football administrator and member of CAF Medical Committee, Dr Peter Singabele has given a pat on the back to the Chief Executive Officer of Monimichelle, Ebi Egbe for putting together the Bayelsa State Sports Summit taking place in Yenagoa today.

Singabele who is going to be chairman of the epoch event said yesterday that he was happy a Bayelsa indigene has come up with this laudable idea that could change the face of sports in the state.

In Singabele’s words: “The Bayelsa State Sports Summit is significant in many ways. First, this is the first time in the history of the state that stakeholders would be coming together under one roof to discuss the way forward for Bayelsa sports. The summit will galvanise sports in the state. I give kudos to Ebi Egbe for coming up with this idea and going ahead to bankroll it. The summit is a good one and that is why I am throwing my weight behind it.”

Singabele who noted that the convener has made it clear that it is a non-political forum, urged those coming to the event to feel free to speak their minds on how to move Bayelsa sports forward.

He stressed that the summit should not be used to blackmail anybody or group insisting that sports play the role of unifying people.

The Bayelsa sports summit is billed to take place today at the Lady Diama Event Place in Yenagoa with the state governor, Seriake Dickson, gracing the event as Special Guest of Honour.
