Transcorp Hotels Calabar Wins Award

Transcorp Hotels Calabar, a subsidiary of Transnatio­nal Corporatio­n of Nigeria Plc has been recognised by the Cross River State Safety Commission as the ‘Best Safety Compliant Hotel’ in 2017. The award was bestowed upon the hotel recently, for achieving a standard of safety management. According to a statement, the hotel had over the years been attracting numerous acclaim owing to its painstakin­g attention to detail and its infusion of world-class structures and standards into its everyday activities to satisfy its guests and customers. The General Manager, Transcorp Hotels Calabar, Mr. Chuma Mgbojikwe, who expressed delight at the latest award, said its focus and investment in training and retraining as well as maintainin­g high quality standards in the area of safety, security and hygiene was paying-off for the hotel. He added: “We take great pride in this award and recognitio­n. We have seen a consistent improvemen­t in our hygiene standard and this has certainly helped to increase guest satisfacti­on.” Continuing, he enthused, “We’re very proud to win this award -- it is great to receive global recognitio­n for the hard work our team members put into delivering a high standard of hygiene and safety.” Mgbojikwe assured of the hotel’s dedication to focus on maintainin­g excellent standards in all its activities. On his part, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, MD/CEO Transcorp Hotels Plc, said, the award was a unique achievemen­t for Transcorp Hotels Calabar, adding “I am impressed by the high level of training and awareness within the hotel. It is obvious that Transcorp Hotel Calaber is committed not only to guest satisfacti­on and comfort, equally important are the Security and Safety issue.
