Meadow Hall Gets for High Standards and Quality Eduction
Meadow Hall was recently awarded Council of British International Schools (COBIS) Patron’s Accredited Member status, which is renewable every five years, following their recent inspection visit to the school. This week long, thorough inspection was organised by the reputable COBIS to ensure Meadow Hall meets the high standards required to receive full membership status. With this recent accreditation, Meadow Hall has upgraded its membership status from COBIS Associate Member to COBIS Patron’s Accredited Member. Representing over 400-member organisations in 79 countries, COBIS is a responsive organisation that exists to provide quality assurance in member schools, as well as support and represent member schools to ensure the advancement of interests of British schools overseas. The COBIS inspection was highly rigorous, and it is to Meadow Hall’s credit that it ended successfully. Meadow Hall prides itself on setting standards and offering quality education; and the continued accreditation received from COBIS further backs up their claim. During the week of the inspection, COBIS’ representatives spoke to teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and students and also thoroughly inspected all the classrooms, processes and outdoor facilities to come up with their verdict.
In their inspection and assessment, the peer accreditation team from COBIS focused on COBIS compliance system which includes: recruitment, student welfare, facilities, governance, ethos & values and boarding and COBIS accrediting standards which covers: learning & teaching and leadership in the school. In all categories, Meadow Hall received an excellent rating, with them meeting and exceeding the standard required in all categories. A member of the accreditation team, Consultant Leader, United Kingdom (UK), Ms. Janette Quinn, commended Meadow Hall’s student welfare, as the report stated that ‘the school provides a pastoral structure that meets the needs of all students and promotes their personal development.’
Also, Meadow Hall received great credit for their ‘fantastic’ learning and teaching. The reports showed that ‘students at Meadow Hall enjoy an encouraging and successful standard of education. They are valued, and their teachers enable them to make appropriate progress across the curriculum; the school has high aspirations for all’.
