HER MILLION NAIRA CUTS... ADEOLA ADE-OJO STRIKES GOLD WITH KOMOLE

-

Aeons from now, when Nigerians remember their fashion’s golden years, they will probably say it was when Adeola Ade-Ojo was in them. They will remember the panache and verve she brought to tailoring, styling and design. Nobody will forget in a hurry, the brilliance of her artistry and the appeal of her classic finishes.

There is no gainsaying Adeola is a game-changer, a trendsetter to be precise. That is why Nigeria’s high society covets her avant-garde clothing and chic remodelling of good old, classic designs. Silver spoon kids don’t joke with Adeola’s clothing and not a few have embraced her Komole Iro and Buba, using it for their weddings, anniversaries and other grand celebrations.

The enchantment with her designs aren’t far-fetched; from the moment you set eyes on any of Adeola’s fabrics and its design, you would agree that it’s worth its price tag, which currently fluctuates between N500,000 and N1.5m per clothing.

So popular is she with the aristocratic divide that the most powerful and influential families persistently seek her out. For instance, the crusader of the Komole haute couture, designed for Governor Ajimobi’s daughter-in-law, Fateema Ganduje, her wedding apparel.

The dress Fatima wore for her Kamu ceremony, a peach-coloured dress, which Deola tagged, “Fulani Milk-Maid 3-piece Komole in APRICOT with Bijoux detail” cost millions of naira.

The Mermaid silhouette blush salmon embellished dress, with billowy tulle details, which Fatima wore for the traditional weddings and after-party, were also designed and tailored by Adeola’s stable.

Meanwhile, not many were surprised when Fatima, daughter of Aliko Dangote, whose marriage rites kicked off with a Mothers’ Night on Sunday, wore the Komole mould Iro and Buba with funnel sleeves in Kaduna. The other Dangote daughters also adorned the Komole Iro and Buba designed in a lovely burgundy colour.

Recall that Oyin Adenuga also opted for the blue coloured Komole when she got married a few months ago.
