Kantar Nigeria, Non-Such Lead Fight against Malaria

-

To mark this year’s World Malaria Day, themed ‘Ready to Beat Malaria’, Kantar Nigeria and Non-Such Health Management Organisation (HMO) have collaborated to target more than 1,000 Nigerians in the fight against malaria.

The Managing Director, Kantar Nigeria, Aggrey Maposa said achieving a malaria-free society has been the core of Kantar’ corporate social responsibility agenda, noting that in 2017, all Kantar Brands, in partnership with Rotary International and Non-Such HMO, impacted the lives of Nigerians through awareness campaigns on malaria prevention, eradication and health education while distributing Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Nets (LLIN) and malaria medication.

The 2018 two-day programme to mark the day kicked off with an awareness drive to sensitise Nigerians about malaria and its prevention.

“The awareness drive equally sought to drive home the benefits of a malaria-free society, its prevention and control,” Maposa said.

The commemoration was also an opportunity for the organisations to provide free malaria testing, distribution of treated mosquito nets and free drugs to participants.

The event recorded a huge turnout of staff drawn from all Kantar brands in Nigeria and volunteers, amounting to about 1,000 persons. This number includes 300 pregnant women, 200 nursing mothers, and 200 children under the age of five. Kantars and Non-Such distributed at least 500 LLITN to the participants.

Some of the volunteers on the day include Director, Kantar Public Nigeria, Mariam Fagbemi, Executive Director, Kantar TNS Nigeria, Eddington Danda, Managing Director, Kantar Millward Brown Nigeria, Ugo Geri–Robert, Account Director, FINTECH Research, Fikayo Aremu, Director, Kantar World Panel Nigeria, Augustina Umunna, Head of Clinical Services, Non-Such Medicare Ltd, Dr. Gerald Ezeani, among others.
