LIFANIMA Opens Entries for 2018 Edition

The Management of USP brand has announced plan to hold the second edition of the Lagos Internatio­nal Festival of Animation (LIFANIMA) on June 7, 2018, at Freedom Park, Lagos. The plan was as a result of animation industry which has begun to blossom in Nigeria and across Africa where many young animators highly talented but without a common platform to sell their skills.

According to the CEO of USP Brand Communicat­ion and Producer of Turtle Taido, Muyiwa Kayode, said the platform would provide opportunit­ies for animators to interact with other stakeholde­rs for optimum value creation and rapid growth of the animation industry. He explained that the “objectives of the LIFANIMA are to promote the rapid developmen­t of the animation industry in Nigeria and across Africa; improve the movie industry through increased inclusion of animation content; provide a platform for the promotion of local animators; developmen­t of quality animation and expose animators to the latest technologi­es in the industry hardware and software.”

“It will feature screening of selected works, award presentati­ons, networking and entertainm­ent,” he added.

The Two-day event will attract animators from local and foreign, film makers, investors, financial institutio­ns, advertisin­g agencies, musical video producers, media practition­ers, digital marketing profession­als, government agencies, Informatio­n Technology companies/ manufactur­ers and the general public.
