NOSTALGIC MOMENTS AT REAL DEAL EXPERIENCE

Music fans who gathered at the latest edition of Legend Real Deal Experience in Onitsha, Anambra State, took home memorable moments from the music festival. The fete brought back lovely memories of when the bustling city used to be home to most of the country’s highlife maestros.

“This event transported me to the good old days when the big names in highlife music used to do regular weekend shows in this same city. Those days we used to look forward to, the likes of Osita Osadebe, Ali Chukwuma, Oliver De Coque and many others every weekend. I commend Legend Extra Stout for this nostalgic event which memory would last a long time,” recalled a veteran music lover, Ifediora Azubuike.

Indeed, the event was worth reliving as reigning stars of Highlife music in the southeast region, Obiligbo Brothers took to stage and rendered melodic tunes and pulsating beats to the enthusiastic crowd who gathered at Shoprite, Park Road, G.R.A. Onitsha. The duo whose real names are Ifeanyi and Chukwuebuka Obiligbo , have had major successes over the years having churned out four massively accepted and successful studio albums including ‘Ife Di Mma’ and ‘Udo Ga Di’, which they sang to the hearts of the merrymakers and all who attended the show.

Adding flair to the event, former Big Brother Naija housemate Ifu Ennada who also co-hosted the show rocked the staged as usual, as well as the role-plays from the DJ. Lucky members in the audience got to go home with exciting gifts like refrigerators, generators, televisions, face caps, t-shirts, and free drinks from the Taste, Tell and Win competition.

In its usual tradition of celebrating legends, Legend Extra Stout celebrated Chairman/CEO of G.U. Okeke and Sons Ltd, Chief Godwin Okeke. The businessman who was presented the brand’s torch of greatness was honoured for being tenacious in his dreams despite his humble beginning.
