Lemo to Speak at RIMAN Annual Conference
A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Tunde Lemo and the Chairman of the Federal Roads Management Agency (FERMA), is slated to deliver a keynote address at the Risk Managers Association of Nigeria 18th annual conference and training.
Lemo is expected to speak on the topic: “Navigating Socio-economic Risk in the Nigerian Economy,” at the two-day event scheduled to hold between 7th and 8th of June, in Lagos.
Other topics to be discussed at the conference include: Sovereign risk management, Education /Human capac- ity management, Cyber and social risk management, systematic impact of operating risk management in silos and risk management in agricultural sector. In addition, issues around foreign exchange risk management, entrepreneurship and risk management, enterprise risk management in emerging economies and health risk management would be discussed.
Commenting on the event, the President RIMAN, Mr. Jude Monye said: “The Nigeria economy like any other is faced with socio economic risks that affects businesses and the lives of citizenry.
“It therefore, becomes imperative and topical for captains of industries, subject matter experts, policy formulators and thought leaders to gather at this forum and proffer ways of navigating this uncommon terrain in our journey to a greater, better and prosperous Nigeria.”
He further urged corporates and risk managers to take the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) professional examinations.
He said: “CRM is the pioneered industry recognised professional examination in risk management is jointly run with our association in collaboration with Chartered institute of bankers (CIBN).
“It is designed to benchmark global risk management standards whilst taking content that will fully make participants well rounded professionals.”
