Here Comes the New Highlife Music King

Dons Ifeanyi, a musician from Anambra State has emerged winner in the Highlife music category of the 2018 Hilife Fest. At his decoration, he was presented with a cheque of N2 million.

Also, the winner in the cultural dance category, Umuchiziri Dance Group had their leader, Chuzzy Anene presented with their first prize money of N2 million and equally decorated as Life Royalty dance group, amidst wild jubilation by the team members.

First runner up in the highlife music category, Chuks Arthur Uwazie was presented with a cheque of N500,000. Kalapi Ojuka, who came third, also got N400,000 as compensati­on, while Obiajulu Adachi and Agbom Emanuel who got compensate­d with N300,000 and N200,000 as 4th and 5th respective­ly.

In the cultural dance category, the 2nd runner up, Kanaowo Cultural dance Group, from Port-Harcourt, received their cheque of N500,000, while the 3rd runner up group, Asinodrick Cultural dance group, received N400,000. It was a keenly contested cultural dance competitio­n.

When his name was announced as winner in the highlife music category, Ifeanyi could not hide his joy. He stated that he was filled with gratitude to God and thanked Life Continenta­l for putting such a competitio­n together, pledging that the brand will not regret picking him as its HiLife Fest King.

The 1st runner up in the highlife music category, Chuks Arthur, from Owerri, Imo State noted that, “there are so many talented musicians out there but nobody is really ready to help them. I appreciate Life Continenta­l Beer for organizing this HiLife Fest talent hunt show.”

HiLife Fest traditiona­l music talent hunt started on March 18 with over 700 contestant­s who registered and were screened across South East, including, Aba, Port-Harcourt, Asaba, Onitsha, Owerri, Nsukka and Abakaliki.

With the conclusion of this year’s competitio­n, it is expected that that the 2019 edition will attract more contestant­s.
