Some senators had reportedly recently threatened the president with impeachment over the trial of Senator Bu kola Sara ki and Senator Ike E kw ere ma du over alleged forgery.

The state Chairman of the Foundation Mo ham med I dr is Rum a, in a press conference, describedthe move by the senators as “Fracas”, and stressed that those calling for the impeachment of the president are not doing it for the interest of many Nigerians.

He said,“Itis ourbeliefthat the challenges facing this country are not as much as they are being over blown and not up to the level of impeachment under a civil is ed democratic system”.

“We believe President Mu hamma du Buhari is doing his best in ensuring increase security, economic growth, employment opportunities and other programmes and activities as indicators for national development, so any attempt to impeach him is not in our interest”, Ruma said.

The foundation’s chairman further noted that there are hitch es caused by different forces impeding the smooth administration of President Buhari, and said the problem can be addressed with the support of all and sundry.
