EX-OSUN GOV, OYINLOLA, BEREAVED
Ex-governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has been dealt a heavy blow, following the passing on of his cousin, Kayode Adetayo Oyinlola, a top freight and forwarding agent. The multimillionaire businessman, who was Chairman of Customs Licensed Agents and President of Okota Country Club, was said to have died after a brief illness. A family source revealed that the late businessman would be buried in Okuku, Osun State next Saturday.
Kayode began his working career with the Nigerian Ports Authority in 1977, but left in 1981 to pursue additional academic qualifications. In 1985, he joined Associated Breweries Ltd and resigned in 1988 for a return to the Nigerian Ports Authority, Tin Can Island. Prince Oyinlola established his own clearing and forwarding outfit, Sakay & Co. Nigeria Limited in 1990 and became a customs licensed agent in 1993. Aside from clearing and forwarding business, his company also deals on importation of cars and lorries for its numerous customers.
The late Oyinlola, who was conferred with the honourary Doctorate in Business Administration, was Chairman, Governing Council in Africa of the Bradley University, Illinois, United States of America. In appreciation of his exemplary leadership, meritorious services and immense contributions to the growth and development of Okota Country Club, he was presented with a Distinguished Leadership Award by the Club at a valedictory event organised in his honour recently.
No doubt, Florence Otedola otherwise known as DJ Cuppy, is a delight on the turntable. Her dexterity has earned her accolades as well as popularity and awards across the continent of Africa and beyond. She is definitely making her billionaire father proud. Disarmingly beautiful and chic, Ifeoluwa has not allowed these to dwarf her in her own line of endeavour. The officious lady that has been taking her disc-jockeying to greater heights in recent time, once again proved that she is ready to rule the scene for a long time to come.
The whiz kid last week emerged the winner African Pride Awards 2018 (PPA2018) as the outstanding disc jockey of the year, held in London. In the joyful excitement, Dj Cuppy feels honoured by the organisers that deemed her fit for the prestigious recognition. As a prelude, coming tops in her category is indeed a confirmation of the beautiful lady’s relentless and focus-driven strategies. When an individual is good and transparently diligent in whatever he or she does, it doesn’t take time for industry watchers to begin to pour encomiums on him or her.
