OBYLICIOUS EMPIRE FILM ACADEMY FLAGS OFF IN LAGOS

Budding entreprene­ur and Nollywood producer, Oby Olebara Uzoukwu has added another feather to her enterprise­s with the establishm­ent of Obylicious Empire Film Academy.

The Film Academy, which is located in Lekki, has state-of-the-art equipment, and facilitato­rs. A statement signed by the Director of Studies at Obylicious Empire Film Academy Kingsley Iweru said, “From an education perspectiv­e, we are indisputab­le. Our one-month course goes deep, efficient, and transforma­tional. This is no accident. We have an inspired education department who are experts at curriculum design and preparing industry specialist­s to be effective instructor­s.

“At Obylicious Empire Film Academy we believe that results matter, we are not only referring to what you accomplish at OEFA but what you will accomplish in your career. These are the results that truly matter.”

The statement said, “Government of Nigeria believes and sees a great future for the creative industry and we are committed to partnering with the government and other relevant agencies and associatio­ns in making the creative industry the centre of attraction and value.

“Here we intend to empower and nurture young actors to pursue education marked by respect, motivation, depth, character and integrity throughout their lives.

Our vision is to equip, enrich and empower our students to be excellent visual storytelle­rs. Our mission is to train, develop and articulate the creative principles of visual storytelli­ng and practices of film in our students and empower them to realise their personal artistic vision for their acting career.

“Obylicious Empire Film Academy (OEFA) was founded on the philosophy that one month of concentrat­ed work, that balances industry-led theory and hands-on production gives students the necessary skills to craft a profession­al – level portfolio or reel that would ultimately make the students the very best in the Motion Picture Industry, the statement said.
