Emily Nwosu: Heaven Gained an Angel
In prosperity, our friends know us, in adversity, we know our friends”
John Churton Collins British Literary Critic (March 1848 - September 1908).
Heaven gained an angel when my dear mother, Mrs. Emily Ada Nwosu, ( nee Onumaegbu), Justice of Peace ( JP), exited this earthly plane on Sunday, May 13, 2018. She was 71 years old.
Born on April 24, 1947 to the Onumaegbu family, mama was a teacher of great repute with specialty in early child education. She taught and mentored many generations in an illustrious career that spanned over 35 years; yours truly inclusive.
She was a devout Christian, consummate community leader and great mobiliser of women, men and resources for worthy causes and won virtually all available award, honour and recognition those vocations have on offer. She was a great influence and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
To honour her in advancement of her peaceful eternal rest, her funeral has been slated for Saturday, July 28, 2018 at St John’s Church ( Anglican Communion) Itaja na Amuzu Parish, Olokoro, Umuahia South LGA, Abia State by 11am.
She is sorely missed by her three sons; Engr. Temple Tochukwu Nwosu (MNSE, COREN), SP Kenneth Nwosu, DSP Uchenna Kingsley Nwosu and daughter; Mrs. Clarine Chibunna Nwosu-Ugbaja and 10 grandkids and a host of other relatives.
