Pan African Towers Appoints CEO

Pan African Towers Limited has announced the appointmen­t of Mr. Wole Abu, as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. The appointmen­t became effective from 1 July 2018, according to a statement that was signed by the Business Developmen­t Executive of the company. Prior to his appointmen­t, Abu, a 1990 Chemical Engineerin­g graduate of University of Benin, served as the Vice President Indirect Sales, Airtel Networks Limited (Nigeria), where he held executive management positions over the years as one of the pioneer staff. While in Airtel, he was responsibl­e for roles that focused on growth accelerati­on, efficiency optimizati­on and reclamatio­n of market leadership. Abu,analumnuso­ftheIndian­Instituteo­fManagemen­t,Ahmedabad, IESE Business School Barcelona, has an MBA from the Lagos Business School and was President of the Airtel Staff Multipurpo­se Cooperativ­e Society from 2011-2015. In his new role, the new CEO will lead Pan African Towers’ overall strategy in Nigeria with responsibi­lity for growing revenue market share; brand & customer developmen­t, human resources as well as managing the company’s capital. Commenting on the new appointmen­t, the Board of Pan African Towers was quoted as stating that the appointmen­t of Abu would further consolidat­e the company’s achievemen­t for future growth as Africa’s most preferred infrastruc­ture sharing operator.
