Though, the oil and gas mogul has continued to deny the rumour making the rounds that he is interested in becoming the number one citizen of the state, it has refused to abate. It is becoming a major topic in the state among the elite as well as the grass roots. In fact, it is the hottest discussion today; even though Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
This, as revealed is hot on the heels of the spread of the video that went viral where he boarded “molue”, many believe he used that to fly a kite with 2019 in view.
Society Watch gathered through some reliable sources that the Epe-born Forbeslisted billionaire is now like a beautiful bride that everyone loves to have. He is being approached by some stakeholders in Lagos politics, especially the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
A source who is in the know revealed that Otedola is being invited by the Fuad Oki-led faction of the party. While many are also informed that he might be a right candidate for Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, following the alleged feud between the party’s chieftain and Ambode.
Another source informed that many would likely be disappointed if he declined the invitation to contest the upcoming governorship election because he fits the bill a good man that will turn around the fortunes of Lagos State due to his experience and connections.
Though he is not apolitical, whether he will yield to the pressure or not remains to be seen.
