Domino’s Pizza, Cold Stone Promote Culture in New Product Launch

Fastfood giant, Domino’s Pizza and Cold Stone Creamery have made a new product launch in the Nigerian market .

Both brands are partnering the producer of ‘Lara & the Beat’, a movie produced by Biola Alabi Media, to bring the products on board in order to boost their awareness globally as well as showcase Nigerian lifestyle to the world via the film.

According to the brands, the new products, which included a new Ice cream flavour called ‘Baby Cakes’ and ‘squad meal’ were perfect for the Nigerian environmen­t as well as the new movie in that pizza is a family meal while the movie content revolves around family, hence the partnershi­p.

Speaking during the launch which was well attended by major casts in the flick including Seyi Shay, Vector, Somkele and Chioma Akpotha, Marketing Manager of ColdStone Creamery, Bimpe Olanrewaju, noted that ColdStone Creamery Nigeria and Domino’s Pizza have transcende­d serving delicious ice cream and pizza, to becoming lifestyle brands.

“To this end, we are always on the lookout for opportunit­ies such as this. Lara and the beat is a perfect fit as it has key elements that resonate with our brandlifes­tyle, fashion and music. The beautiful story of the movie inspired a new ice cream flavor, which is a delicious strawberry icecream layered with yellow cake and topped with a crunchy coconut shavings”.

Executive Producer of Lara and the Beat, Biola Alabi, lauded the brand’s commitment in boosting Nigeria’s image abroad in an effort to attract foreign investment­s to the country by partnering cultural projects.

Foremost e-commerce firm, Konga is expanding its foothold in Nigeria with the launch of two mega warehouses in Abuja and Port Harcourt.

This is in fulfillmen­t of the company’s ambition to revolution­ise e-commerce in Nigeria, especially as it drives towards ensuring same day delivery and accommodat­ing first rate merchants.

To be opened for business next month, the company stated that the Abuja warehouse, which is centrally located and about 78,000 square feet in size will serve the Northern region while the Port Harcourt’s of about 147,000 square feet, will function as a major hub for the South/South and their stores, they make you feel warm and welcome, which is exactly how this film will make you feel. The movie is about family and friendship, so partnering these delightful brands only made sense for us to do.

He said the new investment would also help the company to carry out physical inspection of product quality. Ilyas Kazeem added: “We are indeed excited about this partnershi­p, which is why we are dedicating a new and special menu to the movie called ‘Squad Meal’”. This menu celebrates the importance of love, friendship and the joy of sharing. It consists of a Medium Pizza, Chicken Wings and our delicious Melted Choco Pocket dessert. The idea is to let viewers have a perfect feeling as they see the flick in the cinema and enjoy a sumptous meal with it.”
