Strictly Comply with Laid Down Rules, Ex-ICAN Chief Urges Members

A former Chairman of the Ikorodu and District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountant­s of Nigeria (ICAN), Mr. Olutoyin Adepegba has called for a strict compliance with the laid down rules guiding the creation of district societies of the institute even as he expressed confidence in the newly installed president of the institute Alhaji Rasaq Jaiyeola.

Adepate stated that the laid down rule clearly stated that a new district is carved out of an existing and recalled that the Ikeja District Society of ICAN was carved out of the Mainland District Society. He added that adhering to the laid down rules has its advantages which includes management and Leadership expertise.

Adepate made the call at a two day retreat organised to deepen capacity among the current of the district which held over the weekend in Lagos ahead of the next Western Conference meeting of the institute which will be hosted by the Ikorodu and District Society of ICAN.

Speaking with to media men during the retreat, District’s Chairman, Oluniyi Odewale, who noted that the retreat was a first of its kind among ICAN district societies in the country explained that the thrust of the retreat was to deepen leadership, management and organisati­onal capacity among the current executive of the district ahead of the next Western Conference Meeting of ICAN which will be hosted by the district.
