GOtv Boxing Night 15 Holds Today

All is set for the 15th edition of GOtv Boxing Night, which holds today at the at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Obafemi Awolowo (formerly Liberty) Stadium, Ibadan.

The event, which is being held in the O yo State capital for the second time, will feature seven fights.

The biggest in the line-up is the African Boxing Union (ABU) lightweight title bout between Ghana’s Nathaniel Nukpe, and incumbent champion, Oto “Joe Boy” Joseph of Nigeria.

Other bouts include an international light middle weight challenge between Akeem“D odo” S adi ku of Nigeria and Franc Hou an voeg be of Benin Republic; a national challenge bout betweenABU welterweight champion, Ola ide“Fij ab orn”Fija bi andKaze em“I be ru” Ari yo; as well as a national cruiserweight clash between Michael “Lion Heart” Godwin and Idowu “ID Cabasa” Okusote,

Prince“Lion”Nwo ye will square up against Ridwan “Scorpion” Oyekola in a national lightweight duel; Vincent “Dada” Essien and Segun “Showboy” Olalehin will battle each other in a national light welterweight contest; while Daniel “BigShark” Emeka and Sulaimon “O lags” Ad eosunw ill slugi tout in a national light heavy weight clash.

Speaking on the event, Jenkins Alumona, Managing Director of Flykite Promotions, organisers of the event, said everything has been put in place to ensure a hitch-free and successful event.
