‘Why it Took Inventor Five Years to Explore the Nigerian Market’

- Raheem Akingbolu

Despite being in Nigeria for over five years, the need to test the waters and ensure that its range of air conditioners can adequately meet the cooling needs of Nigerians has been identified as one of the key reasons for the late introduction of the Inventor brand of air-conditioner products to the nation’s market.

Disclosing this in an exclusive interview at the unveiling of the products in Lagos, recently, the Managing Director of Cryogeny, the official importer of the product, Mr. Yemi Bilesanmi, explained that the brand was being officially introducedinto the nation’s market, after its range of products had been successfully tested, over a period of years at some designated corporate organisations in the country.

He explained that the new products, which ranged from one horse power air conditioner to others big enough to power a huge stadium, were being introduced to meet the diverse cooling needs of Nigerians.

The Cryogeny boss further explained that the company would be partnering with Perabeam, a reputable sales and distribution organisation, to ensure that the products are accessible in every nooks and crannies of the nation’s air conditioners’ markets.

“The way the whole thing will work is that while we at Cryogeny, a trading company and a subsidiary of Perabeam, brings in those Inventor products, it will now ride on the back of Perabeam which has fifty years experience in sales, installation, maintenance and hire to get the products to the market.

“So if Cryogeny brings in the equipment, Perabeam would have gone to look for those jobs because they have the technical competence,” he stated.
