Event Profession­als to Hold Annual Conference

Come September 28, the Associatio­n of Profession­al Party Organisers and Event Managers of Nigeria, (APPOEMN), will begin its annual conference.

The event known as ‘The Event Industry Conference (TEIC) 2018’ with the theme ‘Collaborat­ion’ this September, will have a master class, a seminar and a dinner and awards night.

Addressing a press conference recently in Lagos, the President APPOEMN, Ms Gbemisola Ope, stressed that the industry has continued to contribute to the Nigeria’s economy directly, as well as provide employment for Nigerians in the different fields of the economy.

She said that profession­als in the industry contribute over 50 billion dollars to Nigeria’s economy annually.

In the build up to TEIC 2018, Ope revealed that APPOEMN held a nomination party where 200 nominees were unveiled on July 26, 2018 for the 35 category award that will be presented to the best in the industry at the forthcomin­g event.

As part of this year’s event, a master class will hold on September 27 and also the after party themed “Wild Wild West”, will take place on the same day.

The 2018 seminar will hold on September 28 and the grand finale: the dinner and awards night will hold on September 30.

Event management, she added is an industry that employs the largest number of graduates in Nigeria, spanning across the fields of music, comedy, entertainm­ent, informatio­n and communicat­ion technologi­es, catering and other service providers in the industry.
