Warri Fashion and Style Week Kicks Off Sept. 28

Warri Fashion and Style Week (WFSW), organised by Arhecal Synergy Limited, a fashion company run by Carol Arhere-Obih in collaborat­ion with Fashion and Designers Associatio­n of Niger (FADAN) will kick off on Friday, September 28.

WFSW, a platform to discover new and existing talents, is a new initiative to promote the African culture and showcase emerging designers while empowering them to maximise their potentials. The show will start with the Street Catwalk at the Delta Mall on Friday September 28 at 2pm, while the main event is on Saturday September 29 by 10am to 6pm at Wellington Hotel Effurun Ughelli Road.

This first edition of WFSW will witness great collection­s of lovely outfits and arts from top designers in Warri: Regal by Fuoma, Ero Wendy Fashion Home, Ighogele Arts, K. Legend Fashion and great designers from Lagos, Asaba from Edo State and many more.

Participan­ts are to look out for great models on the runway s well as amazing performanc­e from traditiona­l dancers and comedians. The fashion week will also recognise some Deltans who have done well in their chosen career to serve as positive influence on the the youths in the state. The two-day show is sponsored by Da Viva, a leading fabric and garment company with factories situated in Manchester, Ghana and Lagos, Nigeria and CANOE, a leading fabrics care brands within the PZ Cussons homecare portfolio with a strong heritage of gentle care for fabrics. The show is also endorsed by the Delta State Commission­er for Culture and Tourism.
