Adebola Williams Hosts Private Gathering As Nigeria Turn 58
As Nigeria turned 58, Adebola Williams fondly called Debola Lagos hosted one of the few private gatherings that happened around the country celebrating the nation’s Independence. We find citizens around the world celebrating their independence and national days, American Independence on July 4th is a global celebration with many Nigerians throwing private barbecue parties and events to celebrate but rarely do we see many celebrate our own.
In his opening remarks to guests, Adebola shared how a friend advised him to spend the day at an orphanage but he responded saying, “We do that every other day and we will continue to do that, but what we barely do and must begin to do is to celebrate Nigeria, celebrate our Nigerianess, tribes and diversity, and the burdens that have brought us blessings and opportunities. We must remember to celebrate it as a sign of love and as a duty to a nation that has given us the opportunity to create, to innovate and to grow.”
The night came alive with an assortment of Nigerian delicacies such as Abacha, Banga and Starch, Amala, and Jollof rice. All these to go with Palm wine and more.
Guests at the party include the Special Adviser to the President on Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwale; Actress, Kate Henshaw, Inidinma Okojie, Omawumi, and Presidential candidate, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu.
