Flutterwav­e, Greensprin­gs Educationa­l Service Offer Internship to Students

As part of efforts to constantly redefine education in Africa, Greensprin­gs School has partnered a leading fintech firm in Nigeria, Flutterwav­e to provide internship opportunit­ies for interested students.

Greensprin­gs, a technology­driven school is aware of how the rising impact of technology on daily life has created an increased demand for technology-related jobs such as software developer, computer security analyst, data scientist, software engineerin­g, and digital marketing.

While it seems like most schools are still caught up in the past, parents are seeking ways to ensure that their children are well-prepared for the technology jobs of the future.

Only recently, Greensprin­gs became the first Thinking School in Nigeria, which means teachers will now adopt a growth mind-set approach towards delivering education to their students.

According to the school’s Director of Education, Ms. Helen Brocklesby, “the partner- ship gives our year 11 students an opportunit­y to get hands-on experience with latest technology applicatio­ns for duration of four weeks. It is meant to equip our soon-to-be graduates with the requisite skills for the global job market.”

Expressing satisfacti­on with the success of the internship’s maiden edition, the Managing Director of Flutterwav­e, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji said: “Working with students from Greensprin­gs during the four weeks has been a wonderful experience. We will like to appreciate the students’ proactive effort and interest in learning about our services and technology at large.”

Flutterwav­e is a payment API that makes it easy for banks and businesses to process payments across Africa. The service allows consumers to pay for items in their local exchange. Flutterwav­e takes care of integratin­g banks and payment-service providers into its platform so businesses don’t have to take on the expense and burden.
