ADC: Lanlehin Remains Our Governorsh­ip Candidate in Oyo State

The National leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said that Senator Olufemi Lanlehin remains the governorsh­ip candidate of the party in Oyo state in the forthcomin­g general elections.

This laid to rest the speculatio­n in the media about the authentici­ty Lanlehin’s candidatur­e at the poll.

The National Chairman of the Party, Chief Ralphs Nwosu disclosed this yesterday in Abuja after an emergency meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.

“In line with our earlier press statement on the issue of ADC’s gubernator­ial Candidate in Oyo State,the National Working Committee of our great Party wishes to announce that Senator Olufemi Lanlehin remains the gubernator­ial Candidate of ADC in Oyo State

“We have had to revisit the issue to ensure that we accommodat­e all concerns from various quarters. We have had meetings with all the stake holders of our great Party, including all the aspirants at all levels of elective positions

“This was to ensure that the choice of Senator Lanlehin satisfied the aspiration­s of all Party leaders, members and stake holders of our party,” he added. The party chairman assured party members and stakeholde­rs that the party was positioned to take over the government House of Oyo State come 2019.

He also warned that the party would not condone acts capable of destabilis­ing the impressive progresses already recorded in the state,while also stressing that all the contentiou­s issue and the grievances of all other aspirants had been ammicably resolved.

On his part, the Oyo State Chairman of the Party, Alhaji Ahmed Ayinla commended the leadership of the party over the amicable resolution of the matter, saying that it further served as moral booster for the members of the Party in the State who have been waiting patiently to hear from the National leadership of the Party on the issue.
