Crystal Palace, Wolves, Others Scramble for ‘Embattled’ Victor Moses

- Femi Solaja

Out-of-favour Chelsea wingback, Victor Moses, may be back to action again following the interest shown by clubs in England and the Far East.

Chelsea coach, Maurizo Sarri, has declared Moses surplus to requirement since taking over from Antonio Conte. He has insisted that the Nigerian winger does not suit his game plan at Stamford Bridge.

According to reports yesterday, the duo of Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers where former Nigerian goalkeeper Carl Ikeme excelled have shown interest in getting the signature of Moses in the winter transfer in January.

Under the former Italian Chelsea coach, Moses excelled as a right wing back in Conte’s 3-5-2 formation.

Aside Palace and Wolver- hampton, the current Chinese Super League champions, Shanghai SIPG have also joined the race too and should the deal for him to go to the Far East sail through, it will make the Nigerian start a new season with the club.

The deal will also unite Moses with his former Chelsea teammate, Brazilian Oscar at the club.

He also have former Super Eagles teammates like captain John Mikel Obi and Odion Ighalo who will help him to adjust to life in China.

Sarri has continued to ignore the player who was an integral part of Conte’s squad that won the FA Cup last season.

He did not consider Moses worthy in Chelsea’s last night Europa League game against Bate Borisov to further confirm that the former Nigerian international is not wanted anymore at the London club.
