The event, tagged National Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Programme (YEEP), which will hold at the International Conference Center, Abuja on December 3, 2018, will not only give participants the opportunity to learn, but will provide them access to startup funds, which is also the sole aim of the empowerment.

Thirty persons will be given the chance to win start up grants of between one N100,000 and N200,000 each. These grants and the success of YEEP will be made possible through the support and collaboration from Nestle, Airtel, 2Baba Foundation, SchoolMe, Sapphire Scents and others.

The Activate Success Int’l Foundation Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Programme is aimed at teaching youth practical steps on how to become successful entrepreneurs through exposure to practical stories of people who have done it and how they can also do it as well. “Our world is in dire need of inspiration and Activate Success Foundation is that platform that inspires and gives hope to young people across the country. The platform enables potential for success in their various fields”, said the organisers.

While responding to questions about the forthcoming National YEEP event, Idoko said: “I am passionate about inspiring people. Everybody is talented, but we all need to be inspired, encouraged and supported to grow. There are thousands of business-minded youths out there that are just looking for mentorship or direction as well as funds to start their businesses and that’s where our foundation comes in.

The purpose of the forthcoming event is not just to give grants, it is to empower and motivate as many youths as possible thereby turning them into success stories to their community, family and by extension Nigeria. If Nigeria and Africa will develop, we need a mass number of youths whose potentials get enabled and who are constantly inspired to be the change they want to see in their continent, she concluded.”

YEEP event is free for as many youths who can make it there. Events start by 9am.
