Saving Mr. Incredible for the Last

Over the years, the Legend Real Deal Experience has become one of the most anticipated music concerts in the country. Spread across the year, the Real Deal train visits selected cities where they offer residents unrivalled musical ecstasy as well as other entertainment offerings.

This year’s edition was no exception. The music concert kicked off on a high note in February, with the acclaimed song master, Harrysong thrilling music fans in Enugu. Rapper Nigga Raw of the Obodo fame created more frenzy in Aba during the Easter celebration in April. Music fans in Onitsha and Port Harcourt had the double dose of entertainment served by the Obiligbo Brothers in May and June. By August, the train stopped in Lagos where street pop sensations Mr. Real and Slimcase took their excited fans to another realm of musical fervour. It was a homecoming experience for rapper M.I who stormed the city of Jos for a thrilling performance.

For the grand finale, the organisers left no stone unturned. The show, which is the Legend Extra Stout flagship consumer engagement activity, was a perfect blend of all-round entertainment.

Nothing, however, prepared the music fans that gathered at Apo Resettlement Park, Abuja that fateful Saturday night in October. Although it was not the first time the concert was held in the capital city, they were however enthused by the entertainment offering advertised in various media.

Basking in the euphoria of hosting the last leg of the concert, music fans trooped to the venue earlier than the scheduled time, waiting to see the main act of the night, M.I. Abaga

The moment he came on stage, the atmosphere was electrified as cheers rent the air. The music fans were so frenzied by his appearance. Known for his energetic and lively performance, the rapper unleashed the lyrical beast in him, performing many of his popular songs from previous albums to his latest album, Yxng Dxnzl.

Each of his performance was met with a wild cheer. The crowd ate gladly from his palms as they belted his lyrics. By the time he finally took a bow, the fans were beaming with the satisfaction of a memorable event.

Backstage, the rapper expressed excitement at the crowd’s reaction. He pointed out that every chance to connect with his fans is one he doesn’t take for granted, let alone when it is facilitated by a brand like Legend Extra Stout. While speaking of his fans, he made sure to add with a smile, “There’s no Mister Incredible without them”.

While M.I gave an unforgettable musical experience, the show hosts, comedian De Don and Big Brother Naija’s Ifu Ennada provided witty jokes and commentaries. There were also comedy and musical acts from local talents in Abuja. With all the dancing and laughing, there was not a single dull moment.

During the Taste, Tell and Win game, the brand’s reward game, lots of fans showed their long-lasting loyalty to the Legend Extra Stout brand and were rewarded with all kinds of prizes ranging from electronic gadgets to crates of their favourite unique-tasting beer.

Speaking on the event, Brand Manager Legend Extra Stout, Maria Shadeko said: “We plan to up the ante in the coming year, so we urge all our consumers and lovers of the brand to stay with us, expectant and trusting that we would not disappoint, as we never have.”

Also included in the lineup was a brand education session, to intimate everyone present about the Legend Extra Stout brand and how the ever-reliable brand offers the Real Deal in the world of Stout.

As the night of thrills came to a close, it was clear to all who had attended that this was one indelible experience.
