The success recorded at the just concluded third edition of the annual music and prayer programme, Praise God with the Twins (PGWT), has certainly indicated that the unique one-day event has come to stay.

The programme which is the largest gathering of singing twins in Nigeria was conceived to fulfil two purposes; pray for Nigeria and those hoping to have their own children.

Like the previous edition, which was starstudde­d, some of the stars on parade have become a part of the vision by their dedication to always attend, while others were part of the unique event for the first time.

According to the conveners, Taiwo and Kenny Jones Olayiwola, the vision is to intercede for Nigeria in another way and because twin are special gifts from God, it was decided that a gathering of twins intercedin­g with songs

In a bid to select the best of entries for its photograph­y competitio­n while creating excitement amongst photograph­y enthusiast­s, award-winning telecommun­ication company, 9mobile, has opened its portal to enable interested Nigerians cast their votes online for the winner of the ‘Voters’ Choice’ category, of the 2018 edition. The online public voting kicked off on Monday, November 5, and will run until Monday, November 19, 2018. Prior to this public voting, photograph­s submitted during the call for entries which held from September 17 to October 31, were evaluated by an internal evaluation committee in line with the competitio­n’s entry criteria. The qualifying entries made the “Top 100”.

The Top 100 images are now being displayed on the portal http:// photo.9mobile.com.ng/ for a period of two weeks, for the public to vote their favourite images. The together with few friends and mentors in the music industry will do good for Nigeria.

This year’s edition had in attendance dignitarie­s like; Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, who has become a regular feature at the event, Pastor Mrs. Folu Adeboye (Mummy GO), who was ably represente­d by Pastor Mrs. Adeola Mensah one of her special assistants; Pastor Mrs. Kalejaiye, who came to represent her husband Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye; Hafeez Oyetoro (Simply Saka); Hon. Olabimjo Lagos State Special Adviser on Civic Engagement and many others.

PGWT 2018 was tagged “Heal Our Land” and it was to intercede for Nigeria this time around through music and praise, since the conveners of the event are of the strong believe that where prayers tarries, praise intercedes.

This is the reason the annual programme of more songs and less prayer for the country was establishe­d. image with the highest votes will emerge as winner of a prize category of the photograph­y competitio­n, referred to as the ‘Voters’ Choice’ category.

Similarly, out of the Top 100, a three-member judging panel will also select the “Top Three” images, and they will be categorise­d as the first, second and third prize winners. The judges comprise creative photograph­er, Kola Oshalusi; documentar­y photograph­er, Bernard Kalu; and award-winning photo-journalist, Aisha Augie-Kuta. Speaking on the milestone achieved by the competitio­n so far, Director of Brands and Experience, Elvis Ogiemwanye, expressed excitement at the impressive higher number of images that were received, noting that the positive enthusiasm elicited by the competitio­n was a testament that many Nigerians appreciate photograph­y as a rewarding activity.
