Abuja Fashion House to Hold Maiden Fashion Runway

-

A foremost fashion house in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Mima Midas Designs, has concluded plans to host its maiden fashion runway and exhibition, which it says will unravel the extraordinary designs and creative imprint of its designers.

Addressing newsmen at a recent press briefing in Abuja, the Chief Executive Officer of Mima Midas Design, Mrs. Maryam Abdul, said the fashion house, initiated to runway to equally close the obvious dichotomy between the fashion industry in Abuja and that of Lagos, which she described as the hub of the fashion industry in Nigeria.

Abdul, explained that her fashion house which she said was a one-stop shop for male and female clothing, would also release its 2019 collections tagged “limitless”. She noted that the theme ‘limitless’ was chosen to reflect the significance of fashion in the daily lives of people.

“We all know that fashion is in existence every day of our lives and fashion does not have any restriction, because you must be dressed every day of your life. “So, we are going to do something extraordinary on December 2. Our blue carpet kicks off by 1pm on that day. It is different from the usual red carpet, because the colour theme for the day is blue,” said Abdul, who noted that the fashion house equally operates an institute where designers and crafters are trained with state-of-the-art facilities. She further stated: “we are trying to trend with nature, we are looking at the sea, the sky, because the main colour of our logo is blue like I am wearing right now. I am in love with blue, so most of the collections you are going to be seeing that day will practically have a touch of blue.

“We are going to show you how you can express yourself beyond limits with clothing, we are going to show you our ready to wear, office wears, clothes you can wear to any party and occasion and stand out.”

Speaking more on the operations of the fashion house, she said: “Mima Midas designs was incorporated in May 7, 2013, we had some little constraint but started business fully in May 2016 and since then it’s been going non-stop, we were incorporated to do creative designs in clothing and training, we make clothes for both male and female, children are not left out too, our clients are both in Nigeria and abroad, we do both ready to wear, contour and bespoke.
