PRINCE CHARLES OF WALES SNUBS THE DUKE OF SHOMOLU

It has come to the notice of the Duke of Shomolu that His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales and his elegant wife, the Duchess of Cornwall paid a royal visit to Nigeria and did not deem it fit to pay a courtesy call on his cousin and 115th to the throne. This snub breeched all known protocols and international agreements guiding such relations. In this regard, a strong letter has been dispatched to Her Royal Highness, the Queen, stating in no uncertain terms our displeasure at this occurrence and pointing out that if not carefully redressed, we may withdraw our support for Prince Charles as he begins the lobby to ascend the throne of our forefathers and instead throw in our heavy support for Prince Williams. This snub is all the more painful considering the fact that we had spent months preparing for this visit with the Duke going through a series of sacrifices and processes including abstaining from the other room for three days - something he never does to better prepare for the August visit. Fufu and Afang were carefully prepared but he came to Lagos and went to some funny places to be talking about jollof rice and be speaking pidgin instead of coming to Shomolu to discuss issues of bilateral interest between both countries. We will not retaliate until the Duke is able to renew his UK visa and if by that time we do not see any meaningful show of remorse by the House of Windsor, then we would not have any other choice but to unleash comprehensive sanctions on them. We are waiting. I tire.
