MUHAMMADU BUHARI – YOU MUST COME FOR DEBATE

-

If nobody will tell you, let me tell you categorically that if no debate, no vote from Shomolu. That is the decision we have reached after our last nocturnal meeting and if you think you can win this battle without the Shomolu vote, then you have to really believe that Afang is a British soup. You see all these things send so many wrong signals and inspire others to follow the bad example. No wonder during my last attempt at the presidency of my former secondary school, Command Secondary School Ipaja, the transition committee headed by a general also cancelled debate. I was gobsmacked. Coincidentally, you sir are a founding father of the school. How could we not have had a debate for an election that threw up a leader of over 11,000 people? You see where they got that sense from - your mortal fear for debate. Democracy is nothing without debates and sharing of ideas. My lord, there is nothing to be afraid of. Is it not Atiku? Did he even have the kind of training you had? He is just a common Customs officer whose training was in and around how to catch smugglers. You got the very best of training the nation could afford. You went every where o. India, UK, US so what is the issue? Let us see you, let us feel you, let us know where you are coming from, let us know where you want to take us to. Take our questions, feel our pain, grow with us. This aloofness is killing us, it’s killing me. At times it’s not even material things my Lord, just hold our hands, soothe us, cry with us, that is leadership. Allowing Ciceros like Lai, Femi and Garba do all the talking for you is not helping your case. They are talking down on us, they are behaving like little emperors, they are asking us to go to hell. We will resist o. Now that we are begging, you will not listen now o. There is only so much that a people can take. I like you personally and truth, if things were different, I think you are a better personality to deal with than that Atiku who is slippery and oily dealy but then again when you are not talking what do we do? Is Aisha on the ballot? Is Oshiomole on the ballot, is El- Rufai on the ballot? It is you that is on the ballot so why are they all talking and confusing and annoying us. Oga talk! We will listen.
