KPMG Nigeria Donates N2m to NOHI
KPMG Professional Services, one of the ‘Big Four’ Professional Services firms in Nigeria, recently donated about two million naira to the National Orthopaedic Hospital Igbobi (NOHI), Lagos (popularly called ‘Igbobi’) to cater for patients’ surgeries and other medical expenses as part of its health initiatives. In addition, the firm also presented gifts and hosted a party for the patients at the children’s ward.
Victor Onyenkpa, Partner and Chief Operating Officer, KPMG in Nigeria, said while giving his statement: “KPMG remains committed to ensuring a healthy population which is essential for the Nation’s economic growth, hence, nearly a decade ago, we developed and maintained strategic partnership with NOHI and have continually replicated same with some other local healthcare providers.”
“We are inspired, by the lives impacted so far and are thankful for the opportunity to continue to make a difference; we are driven to do more.” He continued. Victor Onyenkpa presented the cheque on behalf of KPMG Nigeria and Mrs. R.O. Adedoyin, Deputy Director, Admin, NOHI received same in proxy of the Medical Director, NOHI, Dr. Mustapha Alimi.
Indeed, it was a joyful celebration at the children’s ward as we had a children’s party which involved the distribution of gifts, face painting and singing to the children. We brought the KPMG difference as we inspired confidence and encouraged the children.
